ADP6000IX - Whirlpool Dishwasher - Wont suck in Water?

Hi,

My whirlpool started grinding instead of sucking in water. I have:

- replaced the inlet valve;
- replaced the control board/circuits;
- been told the pump is only to get the water out of the machine so apparently don't need to replace that

Anyone have any ideas?

JJ, do you mean take outside, and put a hose into the inlet valve. Turn it on fully, then see if water comes out the into the hold?

is water pressure high enough? if you can remove the inlet pipe where it fitt onto drum you can put direct power on inlet valve to see if water go thru(please!!! be carefull with life power,i made a lead with insulated spade connector to fitt on valve for testing)use some common sense and work step by step,sure you clever enough to find either a blockage or valve not opening
