I have a stannah 260 , the wife released the controls , the stairlift went back upstairs on its own, now will not come down,, wound it down, again travelled upwards again, looked at the pcb , the green no 9 is flashing , also there is a yellow i think no 6 showing, what does this mean,
stannah wants £169.00 to come out, my son is good with electronics , would like to sort out the problem ourselfs, would be grateful for any help,

Many thanks, just looked at the arm controls , that seems to be ok, both switches are are ok, My son cant come till monday night cause he is away, could it be one of the relays you mentioned, are these changeable,and where can i get these or a pcb fault thanks

If he is good with electronics, should be able to figure it out.

start with control buttons, is the 'up' sticking, that would operate a relay triac or something, to switch motor on, if button ok, look to pcb, what switches motor on.
