will my remote key be affected if I change the battery in fob?

How will my remote key be affected if I change the battery. I have been advised to get another key specially made. Is this feasible?

very rarely when you change the battery the fobs do not work ,but if you google it first it will tell you how how to reset it. why not pop into main dealer for a alarm battery and they will probally change it for you while your are there
