used lorry yesterday with no probs at all ! got in it today turned the key it started for a few seconds then stopped !! now it wont start again ! i have got fuel up to the pump (the filter is full !!) but nothing at the injector rail ! any ideas ??

my 75 cf daf truck when we start it an excelarate it the engine warning come on then we check the filter an that is ok and we try start it again but it would not start

afraid it's a complete new pump as the drive is part of the main pump ..pity bosch didnt design it different

1...strip hand primer at tank as they have been known to block with crap..if ok then

2..blow out fuel lines

3..disconnect metal fuel pipe at common rail and spin engine .if no fuel

4..go to main fuel pump undo 3 torx screws that hold lift pump on to main pump if drive sheared new main pump required

5 ..that will suffice just now ...
