I have the same problem. I defrosted the coils by unplugging the refrigerator and poring hot/warm water into the coils. You have to remove the inside rear panel on the back wall of the freezer side. Catch the water with a sponge under the coils to avoid overfilling the pan underneath the refrigerator. This will buy you another week of normal operation until if freezes again.
What a piece of junk. No more Kenmores after this for me, mine is only 4 years old. I am still trying to figure out what is causing it no to defrost.
