have released brakes now handbrake not operating they are the self adjusting type.the H/brake now travals to end of appliecation without operating the brakes Foot brake is fine

Your brakes need adjusting. If you jack it up remove 1 wheel stud and shine a torch through the hole.Turn the wheel until you see the adjusting cogl.Turn the adjuster until the wheel wont turn then back the adjuster off until the wheel turns.To do this correctly you should make sure the handbrake cable has enough slack to allow the cam arm on the shoes is fully home.
