How do I fix my Belling glass hob?

Hi, I have a Belling glass hob and the temperature control seems to be a bit off. The hotplates are either fully on or off. Is there a regulator which controls all of the plates or is it the individual switches? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

they do come full on then switch off.the on/off time changes when you select a lower temp.If that doesn't happen it could regulator issue or hotplate
