Flash won't install on my D610 Latitude Help!?

I got a used DELL D610 Latitude and it seems to run really well but, I can't get flash to install on it. When I run the flash installer the installer either crashes or it just sitts there and never actually installs. I have to kill it in task manager to get it to close.

Even tried installing an older version of flash but it didn't work either. I also get some odd error messages when it starts up. Grovemonitor.exe stopped, visual studio RegTlib stopped.

I'm not a computer expert so I need a little help here. Anything anyone can give me or point me in the right direction would be fantastic. Thank you.

You should un-install groovemonitor, or disable it. It's an Office 2007 tool used to do collaborative work. You very probably don't need it, and it may be damaged.

Steps to disable it:
Go to Start > Run or hit Win+R keys together
Type msconfig. Hit Enter.
Go to the ˜Startup’ tab.
Uncheck GrooveMonitor

Do the same with RegTlib. It's a component of Visual Studio (an application devlopment environment) and you probably don't need it.
As you are not a computer "expert", I don't think that you'll ever need VisualStudio. You can un-install it completely and recover some disk space.

Next, make sure that you are logged in as Administrator BEFORE you start the Flash installation process. Important if you are running Windows Vista or 7.

Clear your internet cache and download the installer again. There may have been a problem when you originaly downloaded the installer.
