Mine was reset by holding down start/cancel until test disapeared then holding down start and on/off and 'wash enhance' all at the same time.

Thank you for the info as above. the reset feature worked a treat on our WD865 as we were getting the "test" error

Also works for the WD640 Aquarius super silent. Persevere if it doesn't work first time.
Thanks a million for this answer. Lifesaver!

Same problem on the WF840 ultima super silent. Problem solved. Thanks. The machine is just over a year old .... out of guarantee ..... hmmmmmmm. How much would a Hotpoint engineer charge to solve this one?

This is also true for the WD865 Washer/Dryer

what a star. Thanks for this :)

Stop the "TEST" cycle by holding down the "START/CANCEL" Button. ("Test" should disappear off the display)
Then hold down "START/CANCEL" & "ON/OFF" at the same time for a few seconds. The message "d:Off" should appear in the display. Everything should work now.
