i have a 96 mondeo & the window washer doesn't work.I need to check fuse but cant find it in the fuse boxes.There is plenty of fluid.iIwould also like to know how change wash pump if i have to,cheers dave wilson

pump on mondeo is not fuesd, if it is not working & there is enough water in bottle then it is time to change pump, water pump is held into water bottle by rubber o ring, just pulls out give a twist & pull, disconect 2 hoses clear & black, these are colour coded on pump when re conecting, power lead has little clip at top that pushes in before releasing, don't just pull it off, sometimes if you give the pump a hit it will work but you are better of replacing it as it will probably just go faulty again

We have 2 mondeos and both push the washer tubes off the washer, this usually happens when we let the water level drop to low.
I have used plastic cable ties to hold mine on and they still come off.

The tubes have probably come away from the washer bottle.
I have had a 94 Mondeo for 9 years and the only thing that constantly fails is the squirters because the tubes keep coming out of the valves on the water bottle.
Take off the radiator guard from under the front valance, there's about 8-9 screws and tug the tubes down with a pliers, and then just push them back in. I guarentee they will pop back out in time though.

cant help with location of fuse as haynes manual don't appear to show one but on page 12-20,21 it shows windscreen washer system. it appears as if the motor is held in bottle by a tight fitting rubber bung. i would suggest one way to check the pump is to disconnect the wires from pump and connect pump direct to battery just for a very short time as pump may be cooled by water .
