I have a Hotpoint Ultima Super Silent FDW80. Machine is working fine except for some reason it does not use the tablet put in the plastic slot on the door. At the end of each cycle dishes have only been washed in water and the tablet remains in the door. Catch on the plastic container is fine. Not sure how to sort this???

Or the water isn't getting hot enough,

some models need the heat from the water to activate the drawer release,.

Try opaning the door in mid cycle,if you have the steam then the heating circuit is ok.

so the catch doesn't release the door so the tab can fall out?.
If so you need a new dispenser fitting but to be honest as long as you are doing straight wash programs put the tab on top of the filter in the base and start a cycle.Sorted!
