my pfaff creative sewing machine 1469 starts working on its own and all programmes are lit up when I first switch it on. It then goes blank, showing nothing in the programme window. please could you give me a solution of how to clear this problem. the machine was working ok until my bobbin was empty and I had to rewind. after doing this and switching off and on I got the problem.

I had a similar problem with my 1469 back in 2005, so I took it to a sewing machine repair shop. They told me the computer chip had gone bad, and suggested I try to get a replacement that they would then install.

If you're still looking for an answer after all this time, you may want to try that. I never did, since my mother sent me her Pfaff shortly after mine died.

Did you ever get an answer to this? I have just been given a Pfaff 1469 which worked for 5 lines of test sewing before going blank and now has all lights on with a blank display for programming information.

Hello Jean,
Sounds like an electronic problem, I would suggest you get a pfaff agent to deal with it otherwise it could cost you a lot of money.
