how to get rid of a virus?

i have a virus that turn my folders in to shortcuts,i tried different antivirus but it still reapear

Before your AV can realy work, you may need to follow this step:
Start the Run... dialog and enter "cmd" to start the console.

In the console, type this:
attrib -h -r -s /s /d c:\*.*

If needed, replace c:\ by the leter of the affected drive.
This will remove the hide, read only and system flags from all files and folders.
The order after attrib is NOT important.

go to download.com and get the free malwarebytes anti-malware. this is superb at cleaning infected machines.

Would of helped if you had said what you have tried. I use Kaspersky, get a free trial from them. You could also get a trial copy of Tuneup utilities, see if that helps
