how can i fix my car from cut out when slowing down its a vectra 1.8 16v ls?

1999 (T) vauxhall vectra 1.8 16v ls. Engine keeps cutting out when slowing down and stopping at junctions. Recently ABS light has been coming on, is this connected? Any ideas on how to mend on a budget please, thanks

Cutting out is a common problem with vectras, you need to take off the air intake housing from the top of the throttle body and open the butterfly, there will be a hard ring of oil vapour that is stopping the butterfly from closing fully, this needs to be cleaned off the throttle body barrel and also from around the edges of the butterfly. Do this every 3-4 months and hopefully that should cure it. Any probs email me:
