My white knight sensordryer wc427 is getting hot but not drying items. I've took the back panel off but how do i put thermostat back on.

not sure about your model but thermostat normally secured by small plate over thermostat and secured by 2 screws and 2 wires fitted any way round. if heat is present but does not dry properly it is most likely dirty filters,remove and wash,then dry and replace,some models also got extra fan to help drying,if your got one make sure its working
