my hotpoint aqualtis has a F12 fault any ideas to what this means

Have you turned the water supply off?

f12 means the machine isn't getting any water,or if it is, its getting less than 5bar of pressure.

Make sure the tap is fully open.

on some model it suggest no water supply,therefore check water inlet filter and inlet solenoid that should open to let water thru when power is supplied.other model suggest break in coms to pcb,if you lucky and work sistematic you can find break other than that call service engineer
