alarm will not let me program?

scantronic 9448 panel brand new replacing old 9448.
all wiring the same,one set door contacts,2 pir,s.all
unused zones shorted out, only using zones 1,2,and 3,
yet it still wont let me program it.help

try to prog it prop ,you dont need to short out unused zones,just prog then as unused,you not too good at this stuff,are you ?

try doing a master reset on it, then try it again if it still wont let you programme it it either faulty or wired wrong

Are you entering the correct code? do not forget, the new one will have default codes set.
