the track rod end sits on a rod , one end on rack other trackrod end,just behind the end there is a nut (lock nut)that you must loosen,loosen this before you take it off wheel hub it makes it easyer, you loosen this nut then grip the rod with vice grips, (tight), then you take off the track rod end counting the turns it takes to come off, make sure you put the new one on the same amount of turns, then tighten up the lock nut and bobs your uncle , it should take about half hour to a hour depending if the track rod and lock nut are seized with rust,hope this helps,
