Traveling along at 40 mph tapping foot on foot rest to beat of music when most of my warning lights came on, [ abs.srs.tc,air bag.]suspention went to high position and warning came on to travel at no more than 35 mph.

I'm afraid that P38 Range Rovers are very 'electronic' and not very good at it either. You should heed the warning and have the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic computer either at a Land Rover dealer or an Independent that specialises in Land Rover.
