Hotpoint 1400 Washer/Dryer WD40P?

Hi. I have an error E20 showing. Research on sites suggested the pump was faulty. I bought and fitted a new pump but still the same error code. Can anyone give advice what to try next?

Job done! Broken wires to the thermistor. Many thanks for the advice.

Thanks Paul. Any idea where the thermistor is located on the WD40P. I know its a long shot, with there being so many models out there. Maybe just an indication as to where it may be situated in most machines to perform its function. Thanks again.

your research was incorrect ! :(

NTC fault = E20 error`

Temperature sensor detected as either open circuit or shorted
Check wiring to temperature sensor
Check thermistor,.

So basically the thermistor needs replacing,

the code should clear, when a new thermistor or thermostat as it is sometimes referred to is replaced.
