I have an 05 c:max ford focus. The key fob stopped working .I changed the battery but this still did not work. The doors & boot would open with the key in the drivers door lock but now the only the doors & not the boot will open.

Try re-setting the remote.
Put the key in the ignition and turn it to position 2 then off again, do this 4 times in 6 seconds or less, ie on/off, on/off, on/off, on/off. If you do it correctly you should hear a chime, the car is now in programming mode.
Within 20 seconds press any of the buttons on the fob, you should hear another chime. The key is now re-set. Turn the ignition on then off again to exit programming mode, get out of the car and check the remote works.
