How can I turn the child locks off in my car without opening the door?

Ok so here's the deal. One of my kids broke the door handle on the back passenger side door. Well the child locks were on. I have a 2006 ford focus. My husband could fix the door if we could get it open. Any idea how to get the dang child lock off?

open the other door see where the catch for child lock is get a thin steel rule and slide it in the locked door try to do it that way or take inner panel off or wind widow down and try to hook the bar on handle hope this helps if i was there id do it for you
