do you have to take seats and floor covering out to change remote control for lifting and lowering height of daf 45 lf body its a wabco remote control.

Hello

In my experience it sounds like the vic unit has been spiked. I am an engineer for a company called alliance electronics and we spealise in repairing parts from the commercial sectors, I.e truck, coach and bus.

This is a common problem with the vic blowing fuses along with outputs been stuck on

If the unit was to be repaired you would have no problem with coding the unit back into the vehicle as it is the original unit that is collected from yourself, repaired and then returned in a turnaround time of three days from collection.

Please feel free to contact our sales office who will be happy to help and you can always talk to an engineer if you need to. Were based near Sheffield, telephone number 0114 2477041

you have probably blown the vic ecu ,vic controls ,indicators etc and talks to all the other system ecu ,and puts the appropriate warning on the dash if required..if my mind serves me correctly vic is chassis specific ,but you could try one from a scrapyard ,though it has to be from an lf ,cf and xf vics are different even though they look the same ..unfortunately if your not careful when charging or jump starting any vehicle with ecu ,you get a voltage spike which can pop an ecu ,hence you need to follow manufacturers instructions
