battery light staying on have put new battery and alternator on and now the battery light has come on

some fords have problems with the wiring loom from the alternator chaffing through,have a look at the loom and if it has the hard outer ribbed shroud round the wiring have a look where it has clips securing it to the body etc,remove the clips and strip back the loom at these points for a look,good luck
