Re. Water Temparature?

Seat Alhambra Diesel 1999 - Water Temperature stays only one level up and never reaches at the middle, where normally it should stay, when car is hot. If the heating system is a full speed, the level drops to nearly zero. What could be wrong? Is't the Thermostat? If so, where it is found and what are the things to come out to reach the thermostat. Please advice. Thanks

if the air coming out of the heater is still hot when it goes down it may be the temp gauge. the range they cover between just above zero to 3/4 is only about 15 degees.its working or it would not move when the heater fan lowers it. the thermostat may be getting lazy but if your heater is hot its still working.i would just keep an eye on it as i do not think its any thing to worry about as if it get hotter the gauge will still go up and show it as they only come onto the gauge as they get to working temp
