sorry for butting in my mate had the problem he kept driving till the bearing shatted the and the fork went into clutch new clutch and fork dont wait to long hope this helps

These can whine for ages and not do any harm,you will soon know when you can`t select gears etc,but start thinking of getting it done in the near future.
