westwood lawn mower gradient alarm?

when i start my t1600 westwood the siren for the hill gradient constantly stays on. how can i remove the siren? there seems to be a green wire that is loose but i cant find wear it goes i think this could be the problem but want to no how to stop the alarm in the mean time
