i start it , and before i finish it throws the stuff picked up., out again, somtimes it picks up , other times no.

Hi There, Your question does not say what type of vacuum you have but if it is an upright almost certainly you need to buy a new belt. If your belt is broken the brush wont spin and this causes material to appear like it is being spat out. If it is a barrell type vacuum it may be blocked.
