the clear plastic tube has melted onto blue wire at the point were it connects to a small round switch the shower now blows hot and cold in an even cycle is the switch a thermost and can i replace it

Mate the same thing has happen to my Aqua Tronics W7000. It can only maintain hot water for several minutes then goes cold and hot repeatively. I opened it up and found most of the parts rusted inside and obviously something is malfunctioning. But I think it is at least 10 years old so the best solution is just to buy a new one. You can get then for around 100 pound or even cheaper. I will be avoiding an Aqua tronics make thou.
