HI, I have a Samsung ER5200M which is locked after I cleared the memory, No matter what I do it keeps telling me the Machine is Closed, I have tried clearing the memory again to no avail and also tried to hook up using the PC software but it also says register not ready.

Any ideas ?

Hi Guys, Does anyone know how to overcome the "Cover open error"?
The cover is closed but the error would not go away regardless of what I try. I have the ER-5200m ECR.

The closed message means you need to sign on a clerk in Reg mode.

Do you have any clerk buttons on your keyboard layout?
Usually they are the 4 top right buttons.

The machine is closed simply because you haven't opened it. This means no one has logged on to make a transaction. logging on is the first thing you do so it is ready to go as soon as you log on. Type your PIN number and press CLK# button. If you have RAM cleared it, the default operator logon is 1.
