i have a micromark z9495a alarm fitted to my property. i need to change the pin as the previous owners dont know what it is , i have tried taking the battery off and entering 1122 and the new pin but nothing works just stays in test mode please help if any one can i have never used an alarm system before and with no manual its even harder thanks

SD, as you obviously know nothing about alarm systems, of any type, please don't keep giving out this sort of rubbish any more.
You should by now, going by the number of people who have told you stop giving out incorrect information, that you don't know what you are talking about.

Curt, please don't try anything SD has suggested, you might damage the system.

Shorting any 'Pins' on a circuit board, and they are not always marked, could be dangerous, don't do it.

Do as I first suggested, it's there somewhere

Quite often the way to set a default code, is to remove battery and power. On the cct brd, you could find two pins, marked reset or similar, usually connecting them while powering up, will reset to default. So have a look at the pcb, BUT just disconnecting battery will not do it

Unfortunately the manual only tells how to change the code, not how to default if the code is unknown.

A search of Google can find the manual but it is well buried.
