Ok Timbo
I'd hate to be depending on the morons above i don't know why they are even on this site not enough beds left in the institution methinks.
A quick laymans method set the alarm stand still in the room then trigger the sensor note which one from the panel says zone three alarm. Change battery.

Never had an issue with them. but always used their top range. used it within their limits given and changed batts earlier.
Some found the "Americanised" terminology difficult to understand.
The so called latest "Wireless of the Year" wireless panel is amazing.......to win as everyone I know hate it for its unreliability

hi alarm guy,i will tell you why,we tried the early systems, and found them very much lacking in quality,to say we had a few problems is an understatement, once we have probs with a panel,we dont use again,in this way our customers get the reliabilty and quality they pay for,i dont crit panels just for the hell of it,as i said one time before,we bench test new panels for a month or so ,to see how they perform,we also do field trials,if you or the other guys like these panels, that grand, but not gts am afraid ,regards,

Tyco seem to have got their act together with the visonic,

it is unfortunate for users using some earlier tyco branded models that the same cannot be said.

If gts hasn't had much contact with this model, then I fully understand his prejudices, and one should respect his opinion.

I myself haven't,but on reading the engineering manual, and doing a little digging for reviews I have to agree with alarm,

GTS a Visonic is a decent wireless system.

care to tell us why it is not?
As Tyco think it is

Each zone has a name programmed to it.
Then written down.

or did someone with half a brain fit it,

otherwise how would you know what zone 3 is?

FFS, May 2012
what you really need to do mr timbo,is to buy a decent alarm system, and not waste the guys time on here, they have more to do than reply to your inane questions about a system thats not fit to look after a dog kennel,do you get my drift ?

If you don't know, how the ***l are we supposed to know.

And, stop opening new posts all the time, carry on here, or don't bother.

For fek sake timbo, you really are hard work!,

have you bothered to search for the manual ,let me guess ??,

just like you couldn't be bothered to programme your powermax fully on install.

The option is there for naming each zone,eg. Z3=masterbedroom, or whatever you decide to name it.Name it the idiot zone if you wish, the choice is yours.
