How can I rebuild the efi on a 1993 Chevy S-10 pickup?

The efi needs to be rebuilt, The engine is backfireing and surging I can smell gas real bad. And don't let me forget to mention that it is smoking like crazy.

Sounds like it might just be the fuel pressure regulator ...might try junk yard for a full replacement ...........ask your local dealer parts dept
