Riding mower will start & run but won't move, can be pushed? How can I fix?

Is it the transaxle problem? Or could it be just the gears. Gears will move.

If this is a hydrostatic (automatic type) transmission, check that the dump valve (otherwise known as the freewheel device) is dis-engaged. If the machine has been pushed around, this is likely, as it can't be pushed if it's engaged.

Big question!

Yes it could be the transaxle (if you have one) or the gears (if you have any) or maybe the transmission belt has just come off?

Make? Model? Transmission type? What were you doing when it stopped driving?

There is not enough detail in the question to offer a valid answer. If you ask a question with more detail, you stand more chance of receiving a definitive answer.
