how many miles until i renew my timing belt on my nissan almera 1500cc 04 reg?

Nissan Almera 1500cc, 2005. Cutting out intermittently, seems to go into a failsafe mode, 5 speed manual, when I back off the throttle and gently accelerate it picks up speed slowly to approx. 40 mph. Sometimes it's fine, drives well. I've cleaned the mass fuel sensor, new plugs, air filter. Sometimes when starting ,I have to crank over for 30 seconds.? Thanks for any help.

I believe the 1500 Almeras all had timing chains. They have a bad reputation for stretching and are expensive to replace.

Keep changing your engine oil and oil filter regularly to maximise the life of yours.
