My Kenmore limited edition side by side frige is not cooling. the fan on top left isn't letting out any air. the freezer is freezing. 2 days now. I decided to turn off refrigerator to see if thawing out the freezer would help. any other suggestions. Do i need to open back panel to see if coils are frozen, eventhough i unplugged refrigerator. And how long would be sufficient to have thawed freezer befor turning fridge back on? thank you

with these american spec f/freezers its generally down to defrosting elements or maybe circulating fan being faulty, if the element is faulty it allows a build up of ice which prevents the fan motor blowing cold air through the coils into the fridge section, you need someone to meter out the element etc
