hi i have a hotpoint aquarius tcl770 tumble dryer when i turn it on every 5 mins it realy makes a loud screeching noise for about 1 minute then works fine then keeps repeating this so annoying can anyone help to solve this problem thank
rear bearing probably needs replacing !! if its not badly work put some high melting point grease on the shaft near the split pin

take off the small cover over the shaft at the back and inspect the bushing/shaft for wear, if this wears it allows the edge of the drum to rub off the back panel, it could also be the tensioner wheels down near the motor or even the front bearing slides
