What does the wash flashing fault code mean on a hotpoint wd420?

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius WD420 and it's not washing now, the light for wash is flashing and I was wondering if anyone knew what this fault is??

The manual says that a flashing wash light means the machine is not getting any mains water.

Check your water tap and pipes.

sam try unpluging it from the mains for about 3 mins and try again they somtimes get confused
