Zanussi ZWD12270G1 stopped working?

Our Zanussi has stopped working suddenly. When I turn the dial to a setting, all I get is a faint glow on the display.

as a diy job do a visual inspection on the wiring harness for burns or loose connections it could be any number of things even a module fault also check plugtop connections and try some other appliance on the socket
