depends on stroke camshaft turns once to crank twice so on no 1 valves closed it will fire no 4 valves rocking ex closing inlet opening ready to charge clylinder with petrol to fire next time its at top.so on no 1 cams should be both pionting upwards on no 4 downwards when in time
