xtreme lawn mowers?

When I use my electric xtreme lawn mower it has an automatic switch off which operates when the grass to be cut becomes thicker. Is this normal as there is no description about it having an automatic cut out device in the user handbook. Or is it possible that my operating switch is malfunctioning?

Thermal cut-out is operating. It's likely that this is by design - as Richard said it's to protect the motor against overheating.

Thermal cutout devices DO fail (occasionally), so it might be worth replacing it (if available).

More likely you are overloading it and it cuts out to protect the motor.
