how can i fix thermostat?

my freezer (frostfree hoover} is staying on so that the fridge part is freezing also

Replace the thermostat. Don't waste time trying to adjust it because it always goes 'pear shaped'.
Go to www.espares.co.uk. they have the parts and an online and phone advice centre if you need it.
