Can it be repaired?

I have been told by 2 plumbers that my boiler has flooded due to the condensing pipe being missing and the water has gone back into the machine instead of being drained off. I have had no heating or hot water since oct 2011 but the company who installed it don't want to know. What I'm asking is- can the boiler unit be repaired or is it a right off as both plumbers have stated? I have been told this will cost around £1,400.As I am unemployed can't afford that. Any ideas?

what make/model boiler do you have?
if the boiler has flooded surely it can be drained off cant it?
it is possible to repair any boiler provided parts are available
the only time boilers are written off is if the damage is catastrophic which would mean it would be beyond economic repair
what parts have these plumbers said are damaged?
