how do u remove blade from a mountfield empress electric mower, i've tried turning the central nut to no avail

Centre nut unscrews anticlockwise (standard right-hand-thread).

Sometimes, the plastic part separates from the metalpart of the bolt. If that happens, use cutting tools to remove the plastic, then do whatever you have to to get the bolt out (angle grinder or whatever). Replace the bolt when you're done.
