lights turn off when indicating?

On my peugeot 206 the lights turn off when we have it on automatic setting for the lights and you indicate?

That sort of problem is common with 206,things will probably get worse.The part with the stalks on is called a COMM2000 unit and will cost you a couple of hundred pounds to put right,changed our (03)last year,a dealer or garage will confirm the fault.
