Neff U1442 Fan stays on?

In the top oven the fan stays on.
Switching of at the main supply is the only way to stop the fan running.

I have exactly the same problem having just replaced the element. I heard a pop when I switched the oven back on and then the fan remains on. Sorry though I don't know what the answer to this is. I think I'm going to call out an engineer.
