We have two keypads fitted, but one of them which looks new is dim and I cannot read the display.The one downstairs is ok and readable,do these keypads have batteries or does it need replacing.

Most rkp's don't need adjusting as the factory set contrast ratio suffices,

sounds like yours needs this adjustment which should of been done on install.On the rear of the pcb is a potentiometer clearly marked "LCD TILT",adjust as required.

I suggest that you get someone in ,and no there isn't any batteries in there.
