How to remove a pulley from a 12 hp tecumseh eng?

Model Airens 12 LT #936006 Garden Tractor
The pulley is stuck on the shaft, is there a set screw or something I am missing to get it off? Any tricks to removal?
Thanks
Charlie

Nope - it's just tight. After removing the bolt, re-install it without washers/spacers, about 5 turns into the thread. Use a 3-leg puller on the pulley, bearing on the bolt, to draw it off. These range from 'just too tight to remove by hand' to 'almost welded on'. In really extreme cases, you might have to apply heat to the pulley boss to expand it. If you need to do this, don't mess about - forget about a blow torch - use a welding torch on it with the puller done up as tight as you dare. This will minimise heat soak back up through the crank into the engine. If you are unlucky, you will destroy the oil seal on the bottom of the engine, but that's an easy replacement.
