remove front face plate,upper tension knob and stitch control knobs?

My Necchi 522 machine will not sew forward. I can't remove the front panel face plate because of the knobs. Not sure how to remove knobs.

before removing cover turn machine on back,most parts associated with feed can be reached from bottom.clean old oil and lubricate with good penetrating oil,it sometime all that is needed
