fuel light on in dashboard?

fuel managment light on in dashboard car starts and runs ok even but does not rev up enough to kick turbo in -car is a citroen picasso 1997turbo diesel 2001 reg- benn to one garage said t pressure switch did not work took to a other garage said it was ECU UNIT coud repair at a cost of 750 pounds did not have it done took car home trying to fix myself [i hope] that cost 4002 ponds and still not working from second garage --its a nightmare to find i think

Check your air filter, Quick way, is just to remove it, if that fixes it get a new one asap. I had similar and it was air filter, main dealer did not replace it, just put a screwdriver through it.
